About Me

I've been in education since 2010, spending 8 years as an elementary classroom teacher in Onslow County, North Carolina.  I earned my Masters in Library Science from ECU and have been a school librarian since 2018. From the fall of 2023 until the summer of 2025 I started I worked in Currituck County where I served as the AIG coordinator and the school librarian. This is when I started my AIG certification through East Carolina University and will complete course work by December 2025. In August of 2025 I returned to my home and currently serve as an Elementary School Librarian in Onslow County. 

My Role

School Librarian
Work with 600+ students in a Kindergarten to 5th grade school. Students visit the library every 5 school days with their class.
